About Jory Dayne
Shelved under "Self Referential"

My Name is Jory Dayne; I'm a 25 year old illustrator and designer, living at the foot of a large mountain in Utah, aka The Lovely State of Deseret

In addition to working full time as a designer in a marketing think-tank, I am currently serving as the media director for the Sego Arts Foundation (a local non-profit group). I'm also doing quite a bit of free-lancing of late, most notably with my buddies in our image house, NekoTakoMiko. I spend a large part of my day pushing pixels around, is I guess what I'm saying.

When I'm not working I am usually drawing, reading, and riding my bike -- but not at the same time, people -- be reasonable. Another thing I like to do is learn languages, and to collect things. I speak German and Marshallese pretty fluently, and am learning French. I've flirted with a few others. I collect books, stamps, buttons, and dirt from around the world. I really like traveling, going to concerts, and cooking. Some things that I am serious about are eating locally, green-living, reading, and contributing to community.

Anchor & Thorn is a personal weblog that is probably not making a difference in anyone's life. I blog without obligation, and try not to really talk about blogging. MovableType is handling the content management, while the coding is handled manually by yours truly.

In addition to Anchor and Thorn, I publish Ævarandi: a blog about words; and am working on Scarborough, which is a collection of images and writing from travels around the world.
